Luisa Marielli was born among the mountains of Monterrey, Mexico, where she developed a deep appreciation for costume by watching the barefoot, yet overly accessorized, indigenous gypsies of the area. She later lived in the valleys of the Southern California desert, eventually moving to the hills of San Francisco to study fashion.

Marielli has recently worked on two vintage clothing concept stores. Her “Salvation Show” project focused on peddling vintage clothing from city to city, based on the early principles of retailing. Most recently, she worked on “The Fine Art of Design,” a boutique blending fashion, literature, and design into a palpable retail experience. Both focused on the quality of the items, demonstration their longevity in trend and durability in wear.

Luisa Marielli currently lives in Southern California, and works as a freelance wardrobe stylist and fashion consultant for artists and companies seeking purposeful imagery in their projects.
